Division B Tall Tales and International Contest (04/03/2010)
Division B had a very entertaining and inspirational speech contest at the Thousand Oaks Inn. Contestants for 8 areas in Ventura County competed in Tall Tales and International categories. The theme for the evening was Aladdin and The Arabian Nights and a little "I Dream Of Jeannie" and magic thrown in. Cheryl Wronski, District 33 Lt Governor of Marketing, was the Toastmaster for the Tall Tales Contest. She entered as Jeannie, from "I Dream Of Jeannie", and started the evening off with a blink to make everyones wishes come true. I Dream of Jeannie continued to be a fun theme throughout the evening with several references from the Division Governor, Michael Wronski. Mary Jones, Past District Governor, was the Toastmaster for the International Contest and did an excellent job. The winner for the Tall Tales Contest was Daniel Chang, from the Orient Express Club. Chris Njunge, Madera Toastmasters, won the International Contest.
